Based on a property value of £200,000 and a loan amount of £100,000 your loan to value is 50%

What is the Loan to Value (LTV) Calculation?

Loan to Value (LTV) is used to express how much of the property value will be mortgaged.

A 50% LTV Mortgage on the house valued at £200,000 will have a £100,000 mortgage and £100,000 deposit.

The formula for Loan to Value (LTV) is:

£100,000 (divide) £200,000 (times) 100

On a calculator:

100000 / 200000 * 100 = 50%
